BUsiness Development and BID MANAGER – Full-time – Canberra

 As part of our national growth strategy, we’re formalising our presence in Canberra and looking for an exceptional Business Development and Bid Manager to establish our team in this territory. You will be experienced in bids and business development, ideally from a capture or pursuit role in a defence prime.

 From a business development perspective, you will be able to drive our activities in Canberra – searching for opportunities for us to support organisations in their bids, tenders, submissions and proposals, and converting those opportunities in to engagements for yourself and our team. You will be an impressive business development professional, who is well-connected and well-regarded with a proven solutions selling approach. You will also be a compelling and persuasive communicator, and be able to demonstrate value to our prospects and clients, particularly in Defence and Infrastructure sectors, to both primes / top tier organisations and SMEs.

 From a bid management perspective, you will be able to manage the bid process for our engagements and have a wide range of bid capabilities including strategy development, workshop facilitation, bid management, content development, editing, proofreading and production. You will be able to collaborate productively with client teams and lead our team of bid and production experts. Tendering experience is essential, preferably with experience working on large and small engagements.

 The tasks and responsibilities of the Business Development and Bid Manager include:

 

  • Managing our local engagements, on projects of all sizes and types, with clients across all sectors
  • Driving local business development activities for the company 
  • Leading our local team, including assisting in recruitment, training and coaching
